Ductile iron pipe manufacturing process is to cast iron pipe at high temperature after spheroidization treatment,  so that the surface of the formation of spherical graphite,  so as to improve its strength and toughness. The inner wall of nodular cast iron pipe is smooth, not easy to scale,  will not affect the water quality, and has high corrosion resistance and wear resistance, long service life.

The connection mode of ductile iron pipe has two kinds: rubber sealing ring connection and flange connection. Rubber sealing ring connection is suitable for general water supply and drainage system, flange connection is suitable for high pressure, high temperature, chemical industry and other special environment.

Production Flow
1. Raw material preparation: The main raw materials of nodular cast iron pipe are cast iron blank and spheroidizing agent. The cast iron blank requires stable composition, carbon content between 2.7% and 3.8%, silicon, manganese and other elements content within a certain range. Spheroidizing agent is an alloy containing rare earth elements used for graphite in spheroidized cast iron.

2. Smelting: cast iron blank and spheroidizing agent are put into the furnace for smelting. The melting temperature is about 1400℃, and the graphite in cast iron is kept for a certain time.

3, casting: the molten cast iron liquid through the gate into the mold, forming the shape of ductile iron pipe.

4, cooling: ductile iron pipe forming, placed on the cooling platform natural cooling. During the cooling process, nodular cast iron pipe gradually solidifies and shrinks.

5. Shot peening cleaning: there will be a layer of oxide skin on the surface of nodular cast iron pipe after cooling, which needs to be removed by shot peening.

6. Dressing: Surface dressing and cleaning of nodular cast iron pipe to ensure compliance with specification requirements.

7, inspection: strict inspection of ductile iron pipe, including appearance, size, chemical composition, mechanical properties and other aspects of the inspection.

8, packaging: qualified ductile iron pipe should be packed, transported and used
