At present, the battery shells of related vehicle models of vehicle manufacturers such as Tesla, Weilai, and Volkswagen use aluminum alloy frames and aluminum plate structures to reduce the weight of the car. The main reason is that aluminum alloy frames and aluminum plate structures can make the battery shell structure design flexible, the process is relatively mature and the weight reduction is obvious. The extruded aluminum frame can provide high rigidity and high strength, and the aluminum plate stamping parts are sealed.

The new energy vehicle battery tray adopts 6 series aluminum alloy profiles with the characteristics of strength and toughness, high welding performance, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance. It is suitable for new energy battery trays. Tests have proved that the thickness of 6 series aluminum alloy profiles reaches 16.2-17.5 hw, tensile strength ≥290 Mpa, yield strength ≥260 Mpa, and elongation ≥10 A50mm%.
