The PVC steel wire reinforced pipe extrusion line works on the principle of combining PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) material with steel wire reinforcement to produce a strong and durable pipe.
The working principle of the extrusion line involves several steps:
1. Material feeding: PVC resin, additives, and steel wire are fed into the extruder through separate feeders. The extruder is a machine that melts and mixes the PVC material.
2. Mixing and melting: Inside the extruder, the PVC resin is mixed with additives, such as plasticizers and stabilizers, to enhance the properties of the final product. The mixture is heated and melted to form a homogeneous molten mass.
3. Extrusion: The molten PVC material is forced through a die, which determines the shape and size of the pipe. The die has a central cavity to accommodate the steel wire reinforcement.
4. Cooling and sizing: As the molten PVC material exits the die, it passes through a water cooling tank or spray chamber. This cools down the material and solidifies it into a pipe shape. Sizing sleeves or vacuum tanks may also be used to ensure the pipe maintains the desired dimensions.
5. Steel wire reinforcement: As the PVC pipe is being formed, a steel wire is inserted into the central cavity of the die. The wire is typically helically wound around the inner surface of the pipe to provide strength and reinforcement.
6. Haul-off and cutting: After the pipe has been formed and cooled, it is pulled or hauled off by a caterpillar haul-off machine. The haul-off machine maintains a constant speed and tension to ensure proper pipe formation. The pipe is then cut to the desired length using a cutting machine.
7. Final processing: The cut pipes may undergo additional processes, such as socketing, printing, or embossing, to meet specific customer requirements.
