Differential pressure bypass valve

    Differential pressure bypass valve is a pressure reducing valve used to balance the pressure difference between the supply/return water of the air conditioning system. Its main function is to improve the utilization rate of the system, maintain accurate mutual determination of pressure difference, reduce system noise, and prevent excessive pressure difference from causing damage to equipment. In addition, the pressure differential bypass valve can also adjust its opening according to the terminal heat load situation, ensuring that a certain amount of water passes through the air conditioning unit even when the terminal load is very small or zero, thereby protecting the air conditioning unit and playing a role in energy conservation and consumption reduction.

Working principle
    The pressure differential bypass valve usually contains a check valve core inside, controlled by a pressure adjusting spring. When the pressure difference between the supply and return water is greater than the set pressure of the spring, the check valve core opens proportionally to maintain the set pressure difference of the system. When the pressure difference is lower than the set value, the check valve core closes and there is no bypass between the supply and return water. This type of valve uses a pilot valve for self control, without the need for external power, and can achieve the function of balancing the system based on the pressure difference of the system itself

Installation and maintenance
When installing a differential pressure bypass valve, ensure that the position and direction of the valves are correct to avoid leakage and blockage. During the debugging phase, pressure testing and switch action testing are required to ensure the normal operation of the valve. Regular maintenance includes cleaning and inspecting the sealing performance and wear of valves to ensure long-term stable operation

Differences in functionality compared to other valve
The differential pressure bypass valve has significant functional differences from conventional valves such as globe valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, etc. For example, globe valves are mainly used to cut off or connect the flow of media, while butterfly valves are mainly used to control flow. The pressure differential bypass valve focuses on maintaining pressure differential, and its unique function makes it irreplaceable by other valves.
