Extruded Magnesium Alloy Rod is a kind of metal material made by extrusion process, which is mainly composed of magnesium and aluminium, zinc, manganese, silicon and other alloying elements to enhance the mechanical property performance. The density, strength and product quality of Magnesium Alloy Rod can be enhanced by extrusion moulding.

Compared with Pure Magnesium Rod, which are mainly used for Magnesium Anode protection, Magnesium Alloy Extruded Rods are more used for structural parts.

Classification

1.Mg-Al alloy: mainly including AZ31, AZ61, AZ80, etc. It has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

2.Mg-Zn alloy: mainly including ZK60, ZK61, etc., with high strength and good plasticity.

3.Mg-Mn alloy: such as M1A, etc., with good corrosion resistance and weldability.

4. Mg-Re alloys: such as WE43, WE54, etc., with high strength, high temperature creep resistance and other characteristics.

However, magnesium alloy is easy to oxidise, so please choose a dry environment when storing and clean the surface before processing. Pay attention to fire prevention when processing (magnesium chips are flammable), use professional chip cutting liquid.
