Groove filter is a filtering device used in pipeline fire water system, mainly used to remove large solid impurities in the medium to protect the normal operation of valves, instruments, pumps and other equipment in the pipeline system. They are usually installed at the inlet end of pressure reducing valve, relief valve, constant water level valves, or other equipment, intercepting impurities through a filter screen to ensure the cleanliness of the fluid.

The working principle of the groove Y-shaped filter is to use a metal wire or stainless steel structure steel wire mesh filter element to remove foreign objects from the fluid, in order to protect other equipment in the system. They have the characteristics of simple structure, low resistance, and convenient discharge. The filter is mainly composed of a main pipe, a filter screen, a flange cover, and fasteners. When the fluid enters the filter blue through the main pipe, solid impurity particles are blocked by the filter screen, while clean fluid passes through the filter blue and is discharged from the outlet of the filter.

1. Fire signal butterfly valve: In the fire protection system, groove filters can be combined with fire signal butterfly valves to ensure the cleanliness of fire water and prevent impurities from entering the fire protection system. The fire signal butterfly valve has a valve position display signal, which can be connected to the fire control center for real-time monitoring to improve the reliability of the system

2. Check valve: On the outlet pipe of the fire pump, a check valve is used to prevent water from flowing back. The groove filter can be installed in front of the check valve to ensure its normal operation and avoid impurities affecting its performance

3. Gate valve: In the fire water supply system, gate valves are used to open and close water flow. Groove filters can be installed in front of gate valves to protect them from impurities in the pipeline
