Industrial Oil Basket Filter Element

Introduction

Industrial Oil Basket Filter Element is mostly used in the filtration of  industrial oil under the similar working condition. The filter material is stainless steel material for its good corrosion resistance and chemical stability. Its application greatly improves the service life of filter element in industrial oil filtration.

Working Principle

The working principle of a basket filter is relatively simple. When fluid passes through the filter cylinder with a certain mesh, solid impurities are blocked within the filter basket, while clean filtrate exits the filter through the outlet. This effectively removes impurities from the fluid and ensures the normal operation of equipment.

Selection Principles

When selecting a basket filter, the following factors need to be considered:

*Inlet and Outlet Diameter: The inlet and outlet diameter of the filter should match the pipeline diameter to ensure smooth fluid flow.

*Nominal Pressure: The pressure rating of the filter should be determined based on the highest possible pressure in the pipeline to ensure the safe operation of the filter.

*Mesh Size Selection: The selection of mesh size mainly depends on the particle size of the impurities to be intercepted and process requirements. Generally, the smaller the impurity particle size, the higher the required mesh size.

Maintenance and Servicing

To ensure the normal operation and extend the service life of a basket filter, regular maintenance and servicing are required. This mainly includes:

-Cleaning the Filter Basket: Regularly clean the impurities in the filter basket to prevent clogging and wear.

-Replacing the Filter Screen: If the filter screen is found to be deformed or damaged, replace it with a new one to ensure filtration effectiveness.
