Dissolved in alcohol and chloroform, slightly soluble in water.The atomically economical green synthesis reaction of tetraphenylphosphine bromide was carried out using NiCl2 as a catalyst and triphenylphosphine and bromobenzene as raw materials. The effects of catalyst, reaction temperature, solvent, reaction time and other factors on the product yield during the catalytic reaction were systematically investigated. The process conditions for catalyst recovery and product purification were also discussed. The optimization results showed that using non-toxic n-octanol solvent, reflux temperature of 195 ℃, and reaction time for 6 hours, the yield of tetraphenylphosphine bromide could reach over 89%, which is a result of product yield and environmental friendliness.Tetraphenylphosphine bromide cas no.:2751-90-8 is mainly used as a phase transfer catalyst in the field of organic synthesis, which can efficiently promote heterogeneous reactions between two phases and has good applications in basic chemical research.
