What is tea saponin？

Tea saponin powder of plant extract is a glycoside compound extracted from tea tree seeds, mainly from the seeds of Camellia oleifera and Camellia sinensis. The tea dregs after extracting tea oil have a high content of tea saponin, making them an important raw material for extracting tea saponin.

What is tea saponin liquid used for?

Tea Seed Extract is widely used as an adjuvant of pesticide, fungicide, herbicide in agriculture now. Tea saponin is an eco-friendly product that can degrade automatically with no hazardous residue left. HLB value is about 16. It has good functions of foaming, foam stabilization, emulsification, and wetting.

What are the health benefits of tea saponin?

How to use saponin tea insecticide？

1. Aqueous solution spraying method (common)

Usage concentration: generally 0.2%–0.5%. That is, add 2 to 5 grams of tea saponin powder to every liter of water

Usage method: First dissolve the tea saponin powder in a small amount of warm water and stir evenly, then dilute with water; After putting it into a spray bottle, spray it evenly on the leaves, branches, potting soil and other areas of the plant; It is recommended to spray in the morning and evening, and avoid using it during hot sun.

2. Soil pest control/root control method

Directly irrigate or sprinkle the tea saponin aqueous solution on the soil at the root of the plant; It can be used to control underground pests (such as nematodes, grubs, flea beetle larvae, etc.); The use concentration can be slightly higher, 0.5%–1% is recommended.

3. Killing water pests (ecological aquaculture)

Tea saponin is often used to kill parasites or wild fish in ponds to improve the purity of aquaculture; The amount of tea saponin used in water is 5-20 grams per cubic meter of water (need to be adjusted according to the specific pH value and oxygen content of the water); It may cause an increase in water foam within a short period of time after use, which is a normal phenomenon.
