Ball screw assemblies are low-friction transmission components designed to convert rotational motion into linear motion. They are also used to transform torque into axial reciprocating force and are commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission systems. These assemblies consist of a threaded screw shaft and a nut with steel balls. As the screw or nut rotates, balls roll between the helical grooves of the screw and nut. The system incorporates a ball recirculation mechanism that allows the balls to travel continuously along a sealed circuit with minimal internal friction.
