High-Cavitation Plastic Injection Molds for 256-Pole Construction-Grade Ferrite Magnet Arrays

We engineer precision multi-cavity injection molds (256+ cavities) using hardened P20/420 stainless steel cores with ejector pin systems (±0.005mm positional accuracy) to mass-produce plastic-bonded ferrite magnets (SrFe12O19) for structural construction applications. Meticulous mold-flow simulation prevents flux density variation (<±3%) by optimizing gate design, uniform filler distribution (85–92 wt% ferrite in polypropylene binder), and eliminating knit lines. The process utilizes specialized drying (≤50 ppm moisture) and high-shear screws to compound anisotropic ferrite powders (3.8–4.2 kGs Br) while maintaining dimensional stability (±0.02mm tolerance across poles), with injection parameters strictly controlled at 180–220°C melt temp and 1,000–1,500 bar pack pressure to achieve >23 MPa flexural strength (ASTM D790) and IP67 weather resistance. Automated degating and in-line Gauss metering ensure consistent magnetic performance (BHmax: 1.8–2.1 MGOe) for vibration-dampening building mounts, modular facade systems, and EMI-shielded junction boxes requiring anisotropic alignment of 256 poles per 200 × 200 mm plate. Tooling supports 1M+ cycles with conformal cooling for <30s cycles and complies with IEC 60404-8 magnetic standards and ASTM E8 mechanical validation.
