The WSR-400MINI is the most compact machine in the WSR range, and Cowest builds it around one residential constraint rather than one lifting job: a passenger lift. Its minimum dimensions are 1298 × 730 × 1852mm, so at 730mm across and 1852mm high it clears the door and the car of an ordinary residential lift, and the catalogue states this directly as "compact size: fits in most of elevators". It therefore never has to be craned through a facade, stripped down on a landing or carried up a staircase. It drives into the lift, rides up with the operator, and comes out on the floor being worked on — at 815kg self weight it is moved between floors by one operator without a second crane.

 

It lifts up to 400kg to a 3200mm lifting height with 500mm of forward arm extension, which covers partition glass, shopfront infill, balustrade panels, marble and tiles on an occupied floor. Four Dia.290mm suction cups on a dual-pump, dual-circuit vacuum system hold the panel, and light and acoustic alert indication is standard, so a loss of vacuum is raised on the machine rather than left to be discovered. Three load curves of 400kg, 300kg and 200kg are published, and the maximum load accords the length of the extended arm.

 

A standing platform is fitted at the rear of the machine, so the operator rides and steers with a clear view of the panel edge and the landing area instead of standing behind the load. On interior work the panel sits between the operator and the room rather than high above them, and this is the part of the machine that makes that position workable. The counterweight, the suction head and the rear platform all come off, which shortens and lightens the machine further when the lift car is tight.

The drive is a 24V motor on the back wheel with 15% uphill capability, and the machine is steered and positioned at walking pace rather than at a fixed speed. Electric control covers lifting, extension, rotation, tilting and side shifting, with side turning controlled manually on both sides. Every powered movement runs from a wired remote control, so the handset is held rather than carried loose and cannot drop mid-lift.

A glass panel for an upper floor is normally craned in through the facade, or the lifter is carried up a staircase in pieces, or the panel is carried by hand. 2. At 815kg it is moved and repositioned by one operator. It does not need a second crane, a forklift or a delivery crew to move between floors or to be repositioned on site, and at that weight it puts no meaningful load on an ordinary multi-storey residential slab. That is what lets the work reach floors a heavier machine simply cannot be delivered to.

3. Full frame articulation in glass mode: 360° endless rotating, 0-180° tilting, ±50mm side shifting and 90° side turning on both sides, so one operator can bring a panel square to the opening without a second person guiding it.

4. Four Dia.290mm suction cups on dual pumps and dual circuits, with light and acoustic alert indication. Dual circuits mean one circuit can still hold the load if the other has a problem, and the alert is raised on the machine as well as being visible to the operator — which matters on an interior fit-out where the panel is between the operator and the room rather than high above them. Four cups on a compact head also means a smaller head to remove before entering a lift, which is where this machine is going most of the time.

The battery is included in the one-year quality guarantee, and the lift span of the packs is around four years when maintained to the manual.

4. How is it operated, and what does the warranty cover?
Lifting, extension, rotation, tilting and side shifting are under electric control from a wired remote control, while side turning is manual on both sides. The machine uses most common hardware parts, so parts can be bought at a local hardware or forklift parts supplier rather than shipped from us, and if it breaks down we guide the repair by video and repair instruction.
