Working principle and advantages of solar water pumps
The development of solar water pump technology provides an innovative path to solve the problems of rational use of water resources and efficient energy conversion.

Working principle
This type of solar water pump system adopts the principle of solar thermal utilization. The solar collector in the system is usually flat-plate or vacuum tube type, which is responsible for absorbing the heat from solar radiation. The heat transfer fluid in the collector (such as a mixture of antifreeze and water) is heated by solar thermal energy and the temperature rises. The hot heat transfer fluid enters the heat exchanger through the pipe, where it transfers heat to the working fluid in the closed circulation loop (generally a low-boiling organic working fluid). The working fluid vaporizes rapidly after being heated to produce high-pressure steam. The steam drives the blades of the steam turbine to rotate, and the steam turbine is connected to the water pump through a coupling, which in turn drives the water pump to work. The water pump pumps water from a low place to a high place to complete the pumping operation. After the steam does work, it is cooled by the condenser, liquefied into liquid again, and returned to the heat exchanger for the next cycle.

Using the principle of solar thermal conversion, solar energy can be efficiently converted into mechanical energy to drive the water pump. Especially in areas with sufficient and long-lasting sunlight, its energy conversion efficiency is comparable to or even exceeds that of some traditional energy-driven water pump systems, fully tapping the potential of solar energy.
2. Stable and reliable operation

Due to the use of solar thermal energy, the system is less affected by instantaneous changes in light intensity. Even if the light conditions fluctuate during the day, or there is a short cloudy day, the system can still maintain a relatively stable operating state with the heat stored in the heat storage device to ensure the continuity of the pumping operation.
3. Long service life

The main components of the system, such as solar collectors, heat exchangers and steam turbines, are made of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant materials and have a long service life. Under normal maintenance, it can operate for many years, reducing the cost and inconvenience caused by frequent equipment replacement.
