Benzyltriethylammonium chloride/BTEAC CAS 56-37-11
3 year agoBenzyl triethylammonium chloride(BTEAC/TEBA), CAS:56-37-1 The chemical formula of it is C21H38CIN, which is a white solid with high surface activity and good solubility. Melting point 155 ℃ (decomposition). Benzyltriethylammonium chloride cas:56-37-1 is a cationic surfactant used as a phase transfer catalyst in organic chemical reactions, allowing the reaction to proceed at lower temperatures and pressures and increasing product yields. Using acetone as the solvent, equimolar amounts of benzyl chloride and triamine are sequentially introduced into the reaction vessel. Heat up to 63-64 ℃ while stirring, and reflux at room temperature for 8 hours. Slowly cool down to 15 ℃, filter, wash the filter cake with acetone, and dry to obtain benzyltriethylammonium chloride. The yield was 68.9%. Add benzyl chloride, triethylamine, and acetone to the reaction vessel and reflux at 63-64 ℃ for 8 hours. Slowly reduce to 15 ℃, filter, wash the filter cake with acetone, dry, and obtain TEBA. The yield was 68.9%.
