Polyaspartic acid (PASP), also known as sodium polyaspartic acid, with a CAS number of 35608-40-6, is a water-soluble polymer with a molecular weight of 1000-5000. As a green and environmentally friendly water treatment agent, its molecular formula is C4H6NO3 (C4H5NO3) C4H6NO4, which has the characteristics of being phosphorus free, non-toxic, and completely biodegradable. The product appearance is a yellow transparent liquid with a pH value (1% aqueous solution) of 9.0-11.0, a solid content of ≥ 40.0%, and a density of ≥ 1.20 g/cm ³.This substance has excellent scale inhibition effect on scaling salts such as calcium and barium, and the scale inhibition rate of calcium carbonate can reach 100%, with both corrosion inhibition and dispersion functions. It has shown outstanding performance in the treatment of industrial circulating water, reverse osmosis water, oilfield produced water, and other fields, especially suitable for high hardness and high alkalinity water environments. When combined with PBTCA, it can enhance scale inhibition efficiency. At the same time, it can be used as a daily chemical additive, an environmentally friendly fine chemical raw material, and a nutrient absorption promoter in the agricultural field. When combined with pesticides, it can enhance drug efficacy.
