DF41X backflow preventer, also known as anti fouling isolation valves,is a hydraulic control combination device used to prevent medium backflow in pipelines, widely used in drinking water pipeline systems to avoid backflow pollution. The device consists of two separated check valves and a hydraulic transmission drain valve, which can prevent medium backflow under any working conditions and ensure water supply hygiene and safety.

working principle

The working principle of DF41X backflow preventer is based on two key designs: one is to use the mechanical resistance and overcurrent head loss generated when the medium flows through the inlet check valve to reduce pressure, and the other is to use hydraulic transmission to keep the drain valve closed under the pressure difference, thereby achieving one-way flow of the medium. When the pressure in the water supply network changes, especially when the pressure is abnormal, such as when the outlet pressure is higher than the pressure in the middle chamber, the safety drain valve can automatically open, discharge the backflow medium out of the pipe, and form an air partition to ensure the hygiene and safety of the upstream water supply.

Installation requirements

When installing the DF41X backflow preventer, the following points should be noted: firstly, the installation location should be chosen in a clean environment with sufficient maintenance space; Secondly, during installation, it should be installed horizontally according to the arrow on the valve body and ensure that the installation height is appropriate; Again, maintenance gate valve, Y-shaped filter, and flexible joints should be installed separately before and after installation; Finally, after installation, gate valves should be gradually opened during initial use to eliminate the air inside the valve and ensure that the medium can smoothly fill the entire pipeline.
