Differential pressure bypass valve is a pressure reducing valve used to balance the pressure difference between the supply/return water of the air conditioning system. This valve can improve the utilization rate of the system, maintain accurate mutual setting values of pressure difference, and minimize system noise and equipment damage caused by excessive pressure difference. It can also adjust the opening according to the terminal heat load situation. Even when the terminal load is very small or zero, it can ensure a certain amount of water passes through the air conditioning unit, protecting the air conditioning unit and playing a role in energy conservation and consumption reduction.
Working principle
There is a check valve core inside the differential pressure bypass valve, which is controlled by a stainless steel structure spring for adjusting pressure force. When the pressure difference between the supply and return water is greater than the set pressure of this spring, check valves opens proportionally, and the corresponding bypass flow maintains the set pressure difference of the system; When the pressure difference is lower than the set value, the check valve closes and there is no bypass between the supply and return water.
The installation position of the pressure differential bypass valves is usually between the inlet and outlet of the main pipeline. During installation, the distance between the inlet and outlet straight pipe sections should be as long as possible to ensure a firm and reliable connection between the valve and the pipeline. Before installation, the debris in the pipeline should be cleaned up, and the pressure rating and nominal diameter of the corresponding flanges and valve flanges should be checked to ensure that the pipeline is unobstructed. Two gate valves should be installed before and after the pressure differential bypass valve for easy inspection and maintenance.
Overall, the pressure differential bypass valve plays an indispensable role in balancing pressure differential, protecting equipment, and reducing energy consumption in the central air conditioning cold water system, and is an essential component of the system.
