PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: Neomycin, an aminoglycoside antimicrobial agent, has potent antibacterial activity against most Gram-negative bacilli such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, Salmonella, and Pasteuella multocida. It is also sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Gram-positive bacteria (except Staphylococcus aureus),
rickettsia, anaerobic bacteria and fungi were resistant to this product.Pharmacokinetic neomycin is rarely absorbed by oral and topical administration, and only 3% of the total amount is excreted in the urine after oral administration, with most excreted unchanged in the feces.Inflammation or ulceration of the intestinal mucosa may increase absorption.
DRUG INTERACTION: (1) In combination with macrolide antibiotics, it can treat mastitis caused by Gram-positive bacteria.
(2) Oral administration may affect the absorption of digitalis, vitamin A or vitamin B.
(3) Synergistic effect with penicillins or cephalosporins.
(4) The antibacterial effect of this product is enhanced in alkaline environment, and its combination with basic drugs (such as sodiumbicarbonate, aminophylline, etc.) can enhance the antibacterial effect, but the toxicity is also enhanced accordingly. When pH exceeded 8.4, the antibacterial effect was attenuated instead.
(5) Ca ", Mg ", Na, NH* and K' can inhibit the antibacterial activity of the product.
(6) Combined with cephalosporins, dextran, potent diuretics (such as furosemide, etc.), erythromycin, etc., can enhance the ototoxicity of this product.
(7) Skeletal muscle relaxants (such as succinylcholine, etc.) or drugs having such effects may enhance the neuromuscular blocking effect of this product.
FUNCTION AND USE: It is mainly used for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by avian-sensitive Gram-negative bacteria.
USAGE AND DOSAGE: 100 grams mixed with a catty of water, poultry 0.15 to 0.23 grams. The drug was given continuously for 3 to 5 days.
