What is 2-piece Ostomy pouching system?
In two-piece ostomy bags(Ileostomy and Colostomy) systems, the skin barrier and the pouch are separate into 2 pieces.
Tips of changing the stoma bag:
1.Removed the used ostomy bag gently
2.Use the cleaners to remove the adhesive and dry it.
3.Use the stoma measuring guide to match the stoma and cut the suitable size of skin barrier.
Remove the release liner from the barrier and apply gentle pressure to it for at least 2-3 minutes for the best adhesion.
4. Attach the Ostomy pouch to the skin barrier by engaging the lower edges of flange of ostomy bag and skin barrier. Press the two flanges together.
5.Sounds of “clicks” will confirm you are doing it correctly
