In addition, under the condition of heat stress, it is suggested to increase the supplemental level of magnesium oxide in the diet to compensate for the loss of magnesium in the body, so as to ensure and maintain the normal milk yield. Since both beef cattle and dairy cattle have a good equilibrium mechanism for handling excess magnesium ions, an appropriate increase in the amount of magnesium oxide will not cause adverse effects on cattle.
