Longlived Cast Steel Shot  is manufactured by melting high quality steel, that is subsequently atomised by pouring streams of the molten steel through high-pressure water jets. Cast Stainless Steel Shot The resultant shots are refined during quenching and then dried and reheated in a tempering furnace to produce the applicable hardness. The tempered shots are then mechanically screened to produce 11 grades conforming to SAE standard specifications.
