SKYSIL SS-205 SILICA MATTING AGENT FOR WOOD COATING

SKYSIL SS-205 is a professional matting agent which is for wood coatings. The main using function of this product is to create excellent

matting effect. Its special design ensures it can perform perfectly in wood coatings especially in wooden funitures industry.

The main application advantages of using SS-205 silica matting agent are as below.

1. Enhance surface smoothness:Slightly coarse particle size distribution (6.5-7.5 µm) effectively reduces surface friction while maintaining

excellent matting power for a luxurious touch.

Balanced matting efficiency and clarity: Optimum oil absorption (270-320 ml/100g) ensures reliable light scattering for a controlled low-gloss

effect. High purity (SiO₂ ≥ 98.5%, whiteness ≥ 95) and neutral pH (6.0-7.0) keep the wood grain clearly visible and prevent it from yellowing

over time.

Excellent processing properties and stability: Low porosity (1.2-1.4 ml/g) and very low water content (loss on drying ≤5.0%) make it easy to

disperse, reduce viscosity effects, and enhance the long-term stability of the formulation. Low loss on ignition (≤6.0%) ensures excellent

thermal stability.
