Compared with air source heat pump units, direct expansion water source heat pump is more reliable.

The water to air heat pump uses water such as surface runoff or groundwater as the cold and heat source of the unit. The water temperature is relatively stable and can still reach above 10°C at the lowest temperature in winter. The dx water source heat pump air conditioning that use water as cooling and heating sources can still effectively utilize the heat in the water, operate normally and stably, and ensure indoor space heating.

Ashp heat pump units use air as the heat and cold sources. The air temperature is low in winter, and can reach below -15°C at certain times and in some areas. This may make it impossible for the air source heatpumps to effectively utilize the heat in the air. Too low ambient temperature will also make the heat exchanger prone to frost, which will reduce the heating capacity of the unit, increase the input power, and increase energy consumption.
