Overview:
Magnolia Bark, known as Hou Po in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is the dried bark of the Magnolia officinalis tree. It is highly valued for its ability to regulate Qi (vital energy), eliminate dampness, resolve food stagnation, and calm wheezing. It is especially useful for digestive and respiratory conditions associated with stagnation or excess.

Botanical Characteristics:
Magnolia officinalis is a deciduous tree native to China, characterized by its large leaves and fragrant white flowers. The medicinal bark is typically harvested in summer, then processed and dried. It has a distinctive bitter and aromatic flavor.

Traditional Uses:

• Promotes Qi movement and resolves stagnation: Used to treat bloating, abdominal fullness, indigestion, and constipation.
