The key features of PA6 30 GF Sheet include excellent tensile strength, high impact resistance, good dimensional stability, and superior thermal resistance. The inclusion of 30% glass fiber reinforcement significantly enhances the rigidity and load-bearing capacity of the base polyamide 6 material, providing a balance between flexibility and structural integrity.
 
Performance
Mechanical properties
High strength and rigidity: The glass fiber content (usually 15% -50%) significantly enhances the tensile strength (up to 150-300 MPa) and bending modulus (5-10 GPa) of PA6, approaching the specific strength of aluminum metal.
Impact resistance: The notch impact strength (ISO 179) is in the range of 20-50 kJ/m ², which is superior to unreinforced PA6 and suitable for dynamic load scenarios.
Fatigue resistance: Stable performance under high-frequency cyclic loads, suitable for long-term vibration environments such as gears and bearings.
Thermal performance
Heat resistance: The heat deformation temperature (HDT, 1.82 MPa) can reach 200-220 ° C, and the long-term use temperature is -40 ° C to 120 ° C.
Low thermal expansion coefficient: Glass fiber reduces the linear thermal expansion rate (2-3 × 10 ⁻⁵/° C) and has better dimensional stability than pure PA6.
Chemical and Environmental Tolerance
Chemical resistance: resistant to fuel, lubricants, weak acids and bases, but may swell in strong acid/alkali environments.
Weather resistance: UV stabilizers need to be added to delay outdoor aging, otherwise they are easily degraded by sunlight.
Friction and Wear
Low friction coefficient (0.1-0.3, vs. steel): Excellent self-lubricating properties, suitable for oil-free lubrication conditions.
Wear resistance: PV value (pressure x speed) can reach 3 MPa · m/s, suitable for sliding parts.
Electrical Performance
Insulation: Volume resistivity>10 Ω· cm, but glass fiber may cause anisotropic conductivity.
