Precautions
 
 
1. Processing Stage
 
Avoid Excessive Heating
Glass Epoxy Laminate Sheet is thermosetting material. High-speed cutting and drilling during processing can generate high temperatures, causing localized carbonization and cracking, and releasing a small amount of resin odor. It is recommended to use sharp tools and employ air or water cooling.
 
Control Processing Precision
Although epoxy boards are easy to process, for precision parts, care should be taken to avoid stress concentration, especially during drilling and milling. It is best to form in stages to prevent edge chipping.
 
Dust Protection
The processing will generate fiberglass and resin dust. This dust can irritate the respiratory tract and skin. Wear masks, goggles, and gloves during operation, and ensure the work area is well-ventilated.
 
 
2. Installation and Use
 
Avoid Overheating and Overpressure
The long-term operating temperature of ordinary epoxy board (FR-4 / G10 Epoxy Sheet) should generally not exceed 130℃, and short-term temperatures should not exceed 150℃. Its mechanical strength also has limits; it cannot be used in scenarios subject to long-term high pressure and high-frequency vibration, otherwise deformation and delamination will occur.
 
Avoid Contact with Strong Corrosive Media
It is resistant to weak acids and alkalis, but has poor resistance to strong acids (such as concentrated sulfuric acid) and strong oxidants (such as concentrated nitric acid). Contact with these substances will cause a rapid decline in performance.
 
Prevent Impact from Sharp Objects
Although it is flexible, it may still crack or delaminate if violently impacted by sharp, heavy objects. Avoid rough handling during installation.
 
Protect from Moisture: Although it has a low water absorption rate, long-term storage or use in high-humidity environments will still cause it to slowly absorb moisture, which may affect its insulation performance. 3. Safety and Environmental Protection
 
Handling During Combustion
Although epoxy boards have some flame retardancy, they produce smoke and a small amount of toxic gases when burning. Therefore, their use in open flame environments is strictly prohibited. In case of fire, use a dry powder fire extinguisher; do not use water.
 
Waste Disposal
As a thermosetting material, it cannot be recycled or reprocessed. When discarded, it must be treated as industrial solid waste and should not be carelessly discarded or incinerated.
