SKYSIL SS-402 SILICA MATTING AGENT FOR WOOD COATING

SS-402 silica matting agent is an origanic chemical agent which is mainly designed for high-level wood coating. With its special chemical

abilities, it can improve coating's properties precisely.

1. High pure and stable chemical basis: The silicon dioxide content of SS-402 can arrive 99%. Minimize the interference of impurity ions on

the weather resistance and stability of the paint film and avoid the risk of yellowing (whiteness ≥ 95).

2. Organic modified surface chemistry: Through exclusive organic surface treatment, the chemical compatibility and dispersion stability with

the resin system are significantly improved. This not only prevents the matting powder from agglomerating and settling, but also ensures

uniform distribution in the solvent-based/water-based system to achieve a delicate and consistent matte effect.

3. Precise pore structure and oil absorption characteristics: The porosity of 1.8-2.0 ml/g and the high oil absorption value (DOA) of 250-300

ml/100g efficiently scatter light through physical-chemical synergy. This feature optimizes the resin encapsulation while reducing the gloss -

reducing the negative impact on the density and wear resistance of the paint film, and ensuring the physical strength of the coating.

4. Neutral chemical environment: The pH value (6.0-8.0) is strictly neutral to avoid side reactions with acidic/alkaline resins, ensuring the storage

stability of the coating and the smoothness of construction. The ultra-low ignition loss (≤9.0%) confirms the stability of its organic treatment layer

and the reliable performance of the high-temperature baking link.

5. Chemical value presentation: SS-402 achieves an excellent balance between matting efficiency, paint film permeability, fine touch and mechanical

strength with chemical-level precision control. It is a scientific solution for achieving a long-lasting matte texture in high-end furniture, musical

instruments and other wood coatings.
