HDPE Rod Plastic Material Features:
  • Physical and mechanical properties
  • High wear resistance: Low friction coefficient (0.1~0.3), suitable for high wear environments.
  • Strong impact resistance: Even at low temperatures (-50 ℃), it maintains toughness and is not easily brittle.
  • Lightweight: The density is only 0.94~0.98 g/cm ³, about 1/8 of that of metal, making it easy to transport and install.
  • Chemical stability
  • Acid and alkali resistance, solvents, oils, and most corrosive media (such as hydrochloric acid with a concentration of ≤ 80% and sulfuric acid with a concentration of ≤ 75%).
  • Non absorbent (water absorption rate<0.01%), resistant to hydrolysis, suitable for humid or underwater environments.
  • Thermal performance
  • Temperature range: -50 ℃ to+80 ℃ (short-term up to 100 ℃).
  • The coefficient of thermal expansion is relatively high (1.5 × 10 ⁻⁴/℃), and expansion gaps need to be reserved during design.
  • Electrical performance
  • Excellent insulation performance, volume resistivity>10 ¹⁶Ω· cm, suitable for electrical protection.
  • Processability
  • Easy to perform mechanical processing such as turning, milling, drilling, sawing, etc., supporting hot bending forming (requires local heating to 120-140 ℃)

Scope of application: Corrosive media, high wear scenarios, humid/underwater environments, food/medical.
