CPVC Sheet (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride Sheet) is a sheet-like polymer material made of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) resin through extrusion or calendering. CPVC is a modified material obtained by further chlorinating polyvinyl chloride (PVC) (the chlorine content is increased from 56% to 63% - 69%). More chlorine atoms in its molecular chain enhance polarity and chemical stability, giving it unique balance of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The density of CPVC sheet is 1.45-1.65 g/cm³. It has chemical corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and flame retardancy, and is widely used in chemical, construction, power and other fields.

Molecular structure and basic performance​
The molecular chain structure of CPVC introduces more chlorine atoms (chlorine content 63% - 69%) on the basis of PVC, and its characteristics include:
 
Polarity enhancement​: The high electronegativity of chlorine atoms enhances the interaction between molecular chains, and the glass transition temperature (Tg) is increased from 80℃ of PVC to 110 - 125℃, and the Vicat softening temperature (VST) is increased from 75 - 85℃ of PVC to 105 - 120℃;
Chemical stability improvement​: The polarity of the molecular chain is improved, and the tolerance to acid, alkali and salt is significantly enhanced (resistance to concentrated hydrochloric acid concentration ≤36%, resistance to sodium hydroxide concentration ≤50%).

Application fields​
Chemical industry and energy​
​Corrosion-resistant pipes and tank linings: CPVC sheets are used to manufacture strong acid and alkali transmission pipelines (such as chlor-alkali workshops in chemical plants) and tank linings (such as semiconductor-grade hydrofluoric acid tanks). They are resistant to hydrofluoric acid (concentration ≤40%) and concentrated sulfuric acid (concentration ≤70%).
​Battery pack cooling plates: CPVC sheets with added nano-titanium dioxide (content 1% - 2%) are used in the cooling system of new energy vehicle battery packs (such as CATL and BYD). They are resistant to electrolyte corrosion (EC/DMC mixed solvents) and have better thermal conductivity than PP.
Construction and water supply and drainage​
​High-temperature water supply and drainage pipes: pipes made of CPVC sheets by hot-melt welding are used in hot water supply systems (such as hotels and hospitals), with long-term temperature resistance of 95°C and pressure resistance of 1.6 MPa (in accordance with ASTM D2846 standard);
​Fire sprinkler system: flame-retardant CPVC sheets (OI≥60) are used for automatic sprinkler pipes (such as UL certified fire protection systems), with flame spread resistance time ≥30 minutes.
Power and electronics​
​Cable sheath and insulation structure: CPVC sheets are used for high-voltage cable sheaths (such as 10kV - 35kV power cables) and electronic component packaging (such as capacitor housings), with a voltage resistance of ≥20 kV/mm (ISO 60243 standard);
​Semiconductor equipment corrosion-resistant parts: high-purity CPVC sheets (metal ion content ≤10 ppm) are used for photolithography machine coolant pipes (such as ASML equipment) and chip cleaning tanks (resistant to hydrofluoric acid).
Ocean and Environmental Protection​
​Desalination equipment parts: CPVC sheets with added molybdate stabilizer (content 0.1% - 0.3%) are used for desalination membrane support plates (such as Dow Chemical devices), resistant to chloride ion corrosion (concentration ≤50000 ppm);
​Sewage treatment pipes: Pipes connected by hot-melt connection of CPVC sheets are used in industrial sewage treatment systems (such as electroplating wastewater pipes), resistant to sodium hypochlorite solution (concentration ≤15%).
