PEEK GF SHEET AND ROD

PEEK GF is a PEEK reinforced plastic with 30% glass fiber added. Compared to pure PEEK, these glass fiber reinforced materials exhibit higher mechanical strength and stiffness. In addition, creep strength and dimensional stability can also be improved with glass fiber reinforced PEEK.

Polyetheretherketone glass fiber- PEEK GF

Due to these properties, these materials are suitable for components that are subjected to high static pressures over long periods at high temperatures. In some cases, glass fibers can leave friction marks on mating surfaces, making PEEK GF less suitable for bearings or wear applications. PEEK GF not only offers excellent chemical resistance and is insoluble in common solvents, but also exhibits excellent resistance to high doses of gamma rays. As with all grades of PEEK, PEEK GF also combines the advantages of high thermal stability, resulting in minimal thermal expansion and very low water absorption.

As with all of our PEEK materials, we can ensure that PEEK glass fibe natural with glass fibers complies with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.

Why PEEK GF(PEEK glass fibe)?

Suitable for harsh environments: automotive turbochargers, engine peripheral parts need to be resistant to high temperatures and chemical corrosion.

Structural lightweighting: replacing metal parts to reduce weight and improve fuel efficiency (automotive/aerospace).

Long-term reliability: creep and fatigue resistant, suitable for long-term load components (e.g. connectors, sensors).

Processing efficiency: better fluidity than metal, supports injection molding of complex structures.

Precautions

Processing temperature: Avoid exceeding 260°C to prevent PEEK degradation or interfacial delamination.

Interfacial bonding: avoid excessive bending of the composite sheet to prevent peeling of the PEEK layer from the Bakelite layer.

Recycling: Not meltable, can only be crushed for filler or industrial waste.

Safety protection: glass fiber dust is generated during processing (long-term inhalation is hazardous to the lungs), dust masks should be worn.
