SKYSIL SS-320 SILICA POWDER FOR PLASTIC COATING

SS-320 silica matting agent is mainly designed for plastic coating, which can create excellent matte effect on the surface coating. We are

producing this type silica matting agent by processing with special surface treatment and enhancing distribution of particles.Provide excellent

matte effect and lasting surface protection for all kinds of plastic products. This product is widely used in the surface treatment of plastic products

such as automotive interiors, electronic equipment housings, and household items.

1. Native Surface Properties (Untreated) – Balancing Cost and Compatibility

• High SiO₂ purity of ≥99% ensures chemical inertness, preventing side reactions with acrylic/polyurethane resins.

• Neutral pH (6.0-7.0) ensures storage stability (viscosity change <10% at 40°C/30 days), making it particularly suitable for acid-catalyzed systems.

2. Dual-Effect Matting Structure Design

• Porosity Control (DOA Oil Absorption 280-350ml/100g): High oil absorption (350ml) delivers high matting performance (5% addition achieves 60°

gloss of 30-40GU).

• Optimized Particle Size (5.5-6.5μm): Balances matting efficiency and surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.35μm), avoiding the "sandpaper feel" of appliance housings.

3. Low-Temperature Cure Reliability

• Drying Loss ≤ 5.0% → Eliminates the risk of pinholes during curing at 80-100°C (mirror surface inspection pass rate >99%).

• Ignition loss ≤ 7.0% → Controls organic residue and ensures alcohol resistance (Δ gloss < 5GU after 500 alcohol wipes).

4. Guaranteed optical performance

• Whiteness ≥ 93 → Meets hue requirements for light-colored plastic parts.

• Low ignition loss (≤ 7.0%) prevents yellowing during high-temperature baking, making it suitable for components requiring post-assembly.

SS-320 silica matting agent has a low addition amount (recommended 3-5%), is easy to disperse, can be quickly integrated into the coating formula,

and significantly improves production efficiency. Its excellent performance makes it an ideal choice for high-end plastic products such as automotive

dashboards, home appliance panels, and electronic equipment housings. The product has strong stability and is not easy to agglomerate during

long-term storage, helping customers achieve stable and reliable mass production.
