Polypropylene / PP Sheet is very chemically resistant material. Noticeable influence on it have only strong oxidizing agents - chlorosulfonic acid, fuming nitric acid, halogens, oleum.

Concentrated 58% sulfuric acid and a 30% hydrogen peroxide at room temperature are negligible for the polypropylene material. Prolonged contact with these reagents at 60 ° C and above causes degradation of Polypropylene.

Polypropylene sheet in organic solvents at room temperature swells slightly. Above 100 ° C it is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene.

Compared to PE material, PP shows improved hardness particularly in the upper temperature range (up to +100 ° C). Notable are the high chemical resistance to many environments and good long term characteristics even at high temperatures.

PP sheet (polypropylene sheet) is a thermoplastic sheet made of polypropylene (PP) resin as the main raw material through extrusion or calendering process. Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline polymer material with low density, chemical corrosion resistance, and good heat resistance. According to the structure and use, PP sheet can be divided into homopolymer PP sheet (pure PP), copolymer PP sheet (such as PP-B, PP-H) and modified PP sheet (such as glass fiber reinforced, flame retardant, antistatic, etc.).

Raw materials: mainly polypropylene resin (homopolymer or copolymer), fillers (such as calcium carbonate, talcum powder), reinforcing agents (such as glass fiber), functional additives (such as flame retardants, antistatic agents), etc. can be added.

Production process: mainly extrusion molding (flat extrusion method), some special uses are produced by calendering process; the sheet thickness is uniform, the surface is smooth or matte, and customized processing can be performed.

PP sheets are suitable for industrial and civil fields that require corrosion resistance, lightweight, chemical resistance and are cost-sensitive, and are especially suitable for replacing metal, wood or ordinary plastic parts.
