SKYSIL SS-230 SILICON DIOXIDE POWDER FOR PRINTING INK

SS-230 is mianly produced for printing ink. It is a high purity silica matting agent which can create excellent matting effeciency,high transparency

and other amazing chemical performances. The silicon dioxide content of SS-230 can arrive 99% and its average particle size is from 3.5-4.0 um.

It can provides uniform low gloss in UV/solvent-based systems (target: 5-15 GU @60°) while maintaining ink clarity and color reproduction.

1. Excellent matte effeciency

- High porosity (≥1.3 ml/g) maximizes light scattering.

- Oil absorption 180-220 g/100g → Precisely balance system viscosity

2. Process stability:

- Neutral pH (5% aqueous solution: 6-7) compatible with acid/alkaline resins

- Low loss on ignition (≤6.0%) to avoid bubble defects in high-speed printing

3. Visual expression:

- Whiteness ≥93.0 → White substrate without yellowing

- Unsurface treated → Good dispersibility, no additional additives required
