Technical performance

High strength and high rigidity, an ideal choice for replacing metal

The tensile strength (100-150MPa) and flexural modulus (5000-8000MPa) of glass fiber reinforced PA6 sheet are close to those of aluminum alloy (such as the tensile strength of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy is about 310MPa and the flexural modulus is about 70GPa), but the density is only 1/4-1/7 of that of metal. In scenarios such as automobile engine brackets and rail transit equipment connectors, it can directly reduce weight by 30%-50% and significantly reduce energy consumption (such as lightweighting of automobiles can reduce fuel consumption by 5%-8%).

High fatigue resistance (slow performance decay under cyclic load) makes it suitable for structural parts (such as gears and bearings) that are subjected to long-term vibration or impact, avoiding sudden failure of metal parts due to fatigue cracks.

Self-lubricating and wear-resistant, reducing maintenance costs

The friction coefficient is low (0.15-0.3), and the wear rate is less than 0.1cm³/10⁴cm², which is much better than POM (polyoxymethylene) and PP (polypropylene). High temperature resistance and chemical resistance, broadening the application boundaries

The heat deformation temperature (150-180℃) and long-term use temperature (-40℃ to 120℃) of glass fiber reinforced PA6 far exceed HDPE (up to 100℃) and ABS (up to 90℃), and can work stably in high-temperature engine compartments, steam sterilization equipment and other scenarios.

Its tolerance to media such as weak acids, weak alkalis and lubricating oils is better than that of ABS and PP, and it is suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical storage tank linings and food processing machinery parts.

Why not other materials? 

Compared with metals (such as aluminum alloys and steel): PA6 sheets have significant weight reduction effects, lower processing costs, and do not require anti-corrosion treatment; although the strength is slightly lower than that of metals, it can meet the needs of most structural parts through enhanced modification.
Compared with general plastics (such as PP and HDPE): PA6 has comprehensive rigidity, wear resistance and temperature resistance, and is especially suitable for high-load or high-temperature environments.
Compared with engineering plastics (such as POM and PA66): PA6 has a lower price, better processing fluidity, and is suitable for complex structural parts; although the water absorption rate is high, the size can be stabilized through humidity control treatment, and the overall cost performance is better.
