Open ended heat shrink sleeving

HWS heat shrinkable joint tape, also known as heat shrinkable open sleeve, lap sleeve, etc., has an outer layer of radiation cross-linked polyethylene base material and an inner layer of hot melt adhesive, which is composed of the two at high temperatures. It features high mechanical strength, stable performance, resistance to aging and corrosion, strong sealing and adhesive force, and easy operation.

It can be used for anti-corrosion joint repair, weld joint anti-corrosion and anti-corrosion layer damage repair of steel pipelines in oil, natural gas and other engineering projects (damage ≥30m㎡), and is suitable for anti-corrosion of weld and elbow areas of pipelines with anti-corrosion coatings such as 2PE and 3PE.

During construction, the pipeline is preheated to 55-60 ℃, then wrapped with heat shrink tape (lap ≥50mm). After being heated, it contracts radially, and the hot melt adhesive melts and covers, forming a continuous anti-corrosion system with the original anti-corrosion layer. Implement the standards of SY/ T0413-2002, SY/ T4054-2003 and GB-T23257-2009.

The features include excellent adhesion, strong corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, wide construction temperature range (-25-35℃), safety and environmental protection, long service life, fast shrinkage and easy operation, and low preheating temperature (55-60℃). 3PE comes with two-component epoxy primer and accessories, while 2PE does not require accessories or primer.
