The six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) platform can simulate various spatial motion postures. The platform system is composed of a 6DOF motion platform adopting Stewart mechanism, a microcontroller, a servo drive system, etc. The lower platform of the 6DOF motion platform is installed on the ground, while the upper platform is the moving platform, supported by six electric cylinders. The moving platform is connected to the electric cylinders via six Hooke joints, and the electric cylinders are connected to the fixed base via six Hooke joints. The six electric cylinders are driven by servo motors. The computer control system calculates the pose-cylinder length, and changes the length of the electric cylinders by driving the servo motors to achieve the six-degree-of-freedom motion of the moving platform, namely three translational motions in the Cartesian coordinate system and rotations around the three coordinate axes.
