Brief Introduction to 75 Ferrosilicon Lumps

75 ferrosilicon lumps are an important ferroalloy product, named for their silicon content of approximately 75%. They appear as irregular lumps with rough surfaces and a gray-black color.

They have a high melting point and stable chemical properties, hardly reacting with other substances at room temperature, which makes them easy to store and transport. However, their chemical activity increases in high-temperature, strong acid or alkali environments.

In the steel industry, 75 ferrosilicon lumps act as deoxidizers and alloying agents, removing oxygen from molten steel and enhancing the strength, hardness and wear resistance of steel.
