Core features of FR4 Glassfiber Sheet
1. Physical and mechanical properties
High modulus and strength: tensile strength 80~150MPa, elastic modulus 20~30GPa.
Temperature resistance: long-term use temperature of ordinary type is 120~150℃, high temperature type can reach 180~200℃ (continuous working condition);
Low hygroscopicity: equilibrium hygroscopicity <0.1%, good dimensional stability;
High hardness: Rockwell hardness (HRM) 80~100.
2. Electrical properties
Excellent electrical insulation: dielectric constant (1kHz) 4.5~7.0 (low loss), breakdown voltage ≥15kV/mm (applicable to high voltage scenarios);
Arc resistance: ≥180s (UL standard), suitable for electronic and electrical insulation parts.
3. Chemical properties
Chemical corrosion resistance: resistant to weak acids, weak alkalis, salt solutions, and organic solvents;
Aging resistance: UV resistance (surface coating required), ozone resistance, outdoor life of 5 to 10 years (no serious yellowing).
4. Processing characteristics
Easy to process: can be cut, drilled, and polished without special equipment;
Formability: supports molding, lamination and other processes, suitable for complex shapes.
Core advantages of G10 FR4 Glassfiber Sheet
1. Performance advantage: surpassing ordinary plastics and comparable to metal
High specific strength: strength (100MPa), density (1.3~1.4g/cm³), suitable for lightweight and high-strength scenarios;
Heat and corrosion resistance: still maintain rigidity in a long-term 150℃ environment, resistant to weak acids and alkalis;
Reliable electrical insulation: breakdown voltage (15kV/mm), is the "insulation benchmark" for electronic equipment.
2. Cost advantage: outstanding cost performance
Low raw material cost: combination of glass fiber and epoxy resin, low cost;
Low processing cost: no high-temperature sintering or precision casting is required, compression molding is sufficient, suitable for large-scale production.
3. Wide application: covering the needs of multiple fields
Electronic and electrical: circuit board substrate (PCB), motor insulation parts, connector housing; Mechanical manufacturing: bearing cage, guide rail slider, gear; Automobile industry: engine peripheral parts, interior bracket, headlight base; Industrial equipment: instrument operation panel, fixture, mold insert.
Notes:
Selection and matching: select the temperature resistance grade according to the working conditions;
Surface treatment: keep the original surface (epoxy resin insulation) when insulation is required; apply coupling agent when bonding is required;
Processing specifications: avoid high speed <1500rpm when drilling to prevent glass fiber burrs; grind the edges after cutting to prevent cuts;
Storage conditions: store in a sealed, dry and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
