Demolding inserts are crucial detachable insert parts in precision molds such as injection molds and die-casting molds. They are mainly used to assist in the smooth ejection of formed products from the mold and are core components that ensure product quality and mold lifespan. Its appearance is mostly rectangular, trapezoidal or irregular block. The main body is embedded in the moving or fixed template and precisely fixed by positioning pins and screws to ensure the assembly accuracy with other components of the mold.

The core function of the demolding insert lies in "guiding demolding" : After the product is completed by injection molding or die-casting, as the mold opens, the inclined plane, protrusion or groove structure on its surface will move relatively to the features such as the product's upside-down or deep cavity. Through the horizontal component force, the product is "pushed off" or "guided out" from the cavity or core, avoiding problems such as scratches, deformations or jamming caused by direct ejection. This process requires coordinated action with components such as the ejector pin plate and the moving template. Some complex inserts will also integrate guide pins or limit blocks to ensure the accuracy of the movement trajectory.
