2 month agoValve Body: As the basic framework of the flat gate valve, it is usually manufactured by forging or casting processes. The material is selected according to the operating conditions and medium characteristics, with common ones including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel. The valve body provides installation space for internal components, connects to the pipeline system, and ensures smooth flow of fluids through the valve.
Gate Plate: It is the key component for the opening and closing function of the flat gate valve, with a flat plate shape. The gate plate is equipped with a sealing structure on both sides or one side. When the valve is closed, it fits tightly with the valve seat to block fluid flow; when opened, the gate plate leaves the valve seat, allowing fluid to flow unimpeded through the valve body.
Valve Seat: It cooperates with the gate plate to achieve the sealing function. The valve seat material needs to have good wear resistance and corrosion resistance to ensure long-term sealing performance. Common valve seat sealing materials include soft sealing materials such as rubber and polytetrafluoroethylene, as well as hard sealing materials such as cemented carbide.
Drive Device: Flat gate valves are equipped with different driving methods according to different operational requirements. Manual flat gate valves are operated through manual driving components such as handwheels and handles; electric flat gate valves consist of a drive system including motors and reducers, allowing remote control of valve opening and closing; pneumatic flat gate valves rely on compressed air to push cylinders to drive the gate plate; hydraulic flat gate valves use hydraulic oil as the power source to drive hydraulic cylinders for valve opening and closing.
Valve Stem: It connects the drive device and the gate plate, transmits power, and converts the motion of the drive device into the linear motion of the gate plate to realize the opening and closing of the valve. The surface of the valve stem is usually hardened to enhance its wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Characteristics
Superior Sealing Performance: The sealing performance between the gate plate and the valve seat of the flat gate valve is excellent, especially hard-sealed flat gate valves, which can adapt to harsh working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, high viscosity, and media containing particles. They effectively prevent medium leakage and ensure the safe and stable operation of the system.
Low Fluid Resistance: After the valve is opened, the flow channel is approximately a straight pipe, so there is almost no obstruction when fluid passes through, resulting in small pressure loss. This is beneficial to improving the conveying efficiency of the pipeline system and reducing operating costs.
Compact Structure: Compared with other types of valves, the overall structure of the flat gate valve is more compact, occupying less space, and is convenient for installation and arrangement in space-constrained occasions.
Easy Operation: Flat gate valves with different driving methods have their own operational advantages. Manual flat gate valves are simple and intuitive to operate; electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic flat gate valves can realize remote control and automatic operation, improving work efficiency and reducing labor costs.
Long Service Life: High-quality materials and reasonable structural design enable the flat gate valve to work stably for a long time under normal use and maintenance, reducing the frequency of valve replacement and lowering maintenance costs.

Applications
Oil and Gas Industry: Widely used in oil and gas exploration, gathering and transportation, refining, etc., it is used in wellhead devices, oil and gas transmission pipelines, oil refining equipment, etc., to control the flow of oil and gas and ensure the safety of production and transportation processes.
