Quaternium-80 and dipropylene glycol appear as light yellow to turbid yellow or yellowish-brown viscous liquids. They are mostly used in personal care products such as hair conditioners and hair masks. Quaternium-80 is a cationic surfactant and a conditioning agent, so it can adsorb on negatively charged hair to form a protective film and hair repair, which can resist static electricity, soften and improve wet combability. Dipropylene glycol can dissolve other raw materials, stabilize the formula, reduce viscosity and provide a light moisturizing sensation. It is the solvent of quaternium-80, helping it to disperse evenly and penetrate, enhancing the user experience of the product.
