The high-speed steel substrate (HSS4341/ M2/ M35) delivers exceptional red hardness, maintaining structural integrity at operating temperatures of 550–600°C, with the M35 cobalt grade extending this capability up to 650°C. This thermal resistance prevents edge softening and deformation during high-speed cutting, ensuring consistent hole accuracy over long production runs.

 

Complementing the heat resistance, the chip evacuation system features a precision-polished double-helix flute. The smooth flute surface minimizes friction as chips travel outward, while the optimized helix angle promotes rapid discharge. This design effectively prevents chip clogging, reduces heat buildup at the cutting zone, and contributes to a superior surface finish inside the drilled hole.
