Product Features & Advantages
- Premium micro-grain carbide: Exceptional hardness (HRA 91-93) and toughness for extended tool life even in abrasive materials.
- Precision-ground flutes: CNC-ground cutting edges ensure consistent geometry, smooth operation, and superior surface finish.
- High concentricity: <0.02 mm TIR ensures vibration-free operation and precise control.
- Versatile application: Works on metals (steel, stainless, aluminum, brass), wood, plastics, fiberglass, ceramics, and composites.
- Strict quality control: 100% inspected for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and balance.
How to Use Insoul Carbide Burrs
- Select the right burr: Choose shape based on your workpiece contour, cut type based on material (single-cut for soft metals/plastics, double-cut for hard metals, diamond-cut for composites).
- Choose appropriate tool: Carbide burrs are designed for use with die grinders, flexible shafts, or high-speed rotary tools (pneumatic or electric).
- Insert and secure: Insert shank fully into collet/chuck. Ensure it's tightly secured to prevent slippage.
- Set correct speed: Follow recommended RPM based on burr diameter and material (typically 10,000 – 35,000 RPM). Larger burrs require lower speeds.
- Secure workpiece: Clamp the workpiece firmly to prevent movement.
- Start grinding: Hold the tool at a slight angle (10-15°) and apply light, consistent pressure. Let the burr do the work – excessive pressure can cause chipping or overheating.
- Use proper technique: Move the burr in smooth, controlled passes. For material removal, use a back-and-forth motion. For finishing, use lighter passes.
- Clear chips regularly: Lift the burr frequently to clear chips and prevent clogging (especially with single-cut burrs on soft materials).
- Cooling: For extended use on metals, consider using a light cutting fluid or coolant to prevent overheating.
- After use: Clean burr with a wire brush or compressed air to remove debris. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
Application Scenarios
- Metalworking & Fabrication: Deburring cut edges, removing weld splatter, smoothing sharp corners, and cleaning up castings.
- Woodworking & Carving: Shaping wooden sculptures, creating decorative details, hollowing out bowls, and refining intricate designs.
- Automotive & Aerospace: Porting cylinder heads, deburring machined components, and cleaning up cast aluminum parts.
- Composite Fabrication: Trimming fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar materials without delamination.
- Jewelry Making: Engraving, texturing, and shaping precious metals with precision.
- Mold & Die Finishing: Reaching tight corners and complex geometries in mold cavities.
Certifications & Compliance
- ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility.
- CE marked (meets European safety standards).
- Manufactured in accordance with ISO 7755 (hardmetal burr standards).
- REACH and RoHS compliant.
