Styrene/acrylate (ester) copolymers are white liquids in appearance. They are synthetic polymers formed by the copolymerization of styrene and acrylate monomers, which can form a protective film on the surface of hair. This protective film is light, flexible, and has an enhancing effect on styling, improving the luster and smoothness of hair.

Styrene/acrylic acid (ester) copolymers can form a protective film on the surface of hair strands. Although this polymer film is thin and light, it is tough and can provide a long-lasting styling effect for hair, maintain the luster of hair, make hair smoother and reduce frizz. At the same time, it is not affected by humidity, which is because of its strong stability. With this feature, the hardness and flexibility of the material can be balanced, thereby obtaining the strength, rigidity and water resistance provided by styrene, as well as the adhesion, viscosity modifier，weather resistance and film-forming property of acrylic acid (ester).

Styrene/acrylic acid (ester) copolymers are mostly used in personal care. For hair care products, they can prolong the styling time of hair and quickly form a film.

Usage Instructions

Dosage level: 0.1 – 1.0%
Use at low temperatures
Pre-dilution: 1/4 opacifier/water
Add after final pH adjustment
The pH of the formulation should be above 4
