working Principle
- The relief valve is typically installed at the hydraulic pump outlet or in the main circuit.
- The valve core is acted upon by the combined force of the spring and the hydraulic pressure:
- When the hydraulic pressure is lower than the set value, the spring presses the valve core shut, closing the valve and preventing hydraulic fluid from overflowing.
- When the hydraulic pressure exceeds the set value, the hydraulic pressure overcomes the spring force, pushing the valve core open. Some hydraulic fluid returns to the oil tank through the overflow port, thereby reducing the system pressure.
