The forming of color-coated metal sheets is a highly integrated continuous industrial process. It is not simply "coloring," but a process that tightly integrates the mechanical forming of metal sheets (such as molding and embossing) with the continuous coating and thermosetting of organic coatings. The final product retains the high strength and ease of processing of the metal substrate while possessing the rich colors, excellent weather resistance, and corrosion resistance provided by the coating. Coating and Curing: Coating: The pre-treated continuous sheet material enters the coating section. The most common method is roller coating, where liquid organic coatings (such as polyester, fluorocarbon, and silicon-modified polyester) are evenly coated onto both sides of the sheet using multiple rollers. In addition, powder coating, as an environmentally friendly alternative, is also applied through electrostatic spraying or fluidized bed dip coating. Curing: The coated sheet material immediately enters an oven for high-temperature curing. This process causes the liquid coating to undergo a chemical reaction, cross-linking and curing into a hard, dense, decorative, and protective organic coating. Common processes include one-coat-one-bake and two-coat-two-bake (the most common). Cooling and winding: After curing, the sheet material is cooled by air cooling, then wound into finished rolls using an export looper and winding machine. Finally, it is packaged, stored, and shipped.
