We provide a full range of steelmaking and metallurgical furnaces, featuring Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Refining Furnace, together with VD and VOD Refining Furnace for various steel production processes. Molten steel tapped from electric arc furnaces or converters usually suffers unstable composition, insufficient temperature and excessive impurities, which cannot be directly used for continuous casting. As post-positioned secondary metallurgy equipment, LF ladle refining furnace processes primary molten steel to upgrade overall steel quality. It also balances the production rhythm between previous and subsequent working procedures to realize non-stop full-line steelmaking, which is essential equipment for producing clean steel and alloy steel.
Practical Production Benefits
- Temperature adjustment: Compensate heat loss during molten steel transfer, stabilize steel temperature to meet constant casting requirements of continuous casting machines.
- Molten steel purification: Add slag materials to form alkaline slag for desulfurization. Combined with argon stirring and wire feeding, it removes dissolved gas and non-metallic inclusions to raise steel cleanliness.
- Composition control: Add alloy materials as required to homogenize components inside the ladle, narrow performance differences between heats and realize consistent finished steel quality.
- Process buffer: Offset capacity gaps between primary smelting and continuous casting, avoid overcooled molten steel or idle equipment, and improve utilization rate of the whole production line.

Two Core Supporting Devices (Unique Product Advantages)
1. Automatic Argon Blowing Unit
The full argon pipeline system is equipped with pressure reducing valve, filter, mass flow controller and pressure transmitter. PLC outputs 4~20mA analog signals for automatic flow regulation, with real-time monitoring of pipeline pressure and argon consumption without manual repeated adjustment. All valves and pipelines are designed under 2.5MPa pressure standard with excellent tightness. Uniform argon stirring disperses inclusions and balances temperature & composition of molten steel, widely applied for EAF matching refining, VD/VOD furnace degassing, aluminum-killed steel treatment and tundish protective casting.
Basic specs: Cabinet dimension 1700×900×300mm, working pressure 0.7–1.2MPa, argon flow 2×10~550NL/min.
2 Hot Charging Plug Rod Casting System
It replaces traditional sliding nozzle to solve frequent refractory wear and limited casting heats. The full set includes plug rod body, opening-closing actuator, fixed support, movable lifting arm, constant-temperature well furnace, hydraulic station and electric control cabinet. The plug rod size and lifting stroke follow industrial continuous casting standards, supporting multi-times continuous pouring per ladle. It reduces refractory replacement frequency, cuts manual workload and lowers long-term per-ton operation cost.
Basic specs: Plug rod diameter Φ150mm, hydraulic system pressure 8MPa, well furnace power 60KW, stable working temperature above 800℃.
Application Scenarios
Matched with converter and electric arc furnace steelmaking lines for refining carbon steel, low alloy steel and special clean steel. It can coordinate with vacuum refining equipment and tundish protective casting production lines, applicable for new metallurgical plant construction, old smelting equipment renovation and existing line capacity expansion projects.
