SKYSIL SS-200 SILICON DIOXIDE POWDER FOR PRINTING INK

SS-200 is a high-efficiency silica matting agent specially developed for modern ink systems. Through precise oil absorption value control and

surface modification technology, it can achieve excellent matte effect while comprehensively optimizing the rheological properties and printability

of ink. This product is specially designed for high-solid content and high-precision printing scenarios, and can meet the dual needs of gravure,

lithography, screen printing and special inks for matting efficiency and process stability.

What are the main functions of SS-200 in printing inks?

- Dynamic balance technology of oil absorption value

The oil absorption value (DOP method) of SS-200 is strictly controlled in the range of 270-32gl/100g, giving the ink system triple advantages:

• Precise viscosity control: By selectively adsorbing resins and solvents, the viscosity mutation caused by excessive oil absorption is avoided,

ensuring the high-speed transferability of gravure inks and the leveling of screen printing inks;

• Enhanced compatibility: It is suitable for solvent-based, water-based and UV ink systems, and has excellent compatibility with acrylic acid, epoxy

resin, etc., avoiding stratification or granulation problems caused by oil absorption value deviation.

- Surface modification process upgrade

• 3-second instant dispersion: The pre-activation process shortens the dispersion time of the product in ester and alcohol solvents to within 3 seconds,

and the production efficiency is increased by 50%;

• Wear-resistant enhanced design: Optimize particle morphology (D50: 5.5-6.5μm) and surface hardness, and the gloss fluctuation of the ink coating

friction test (500g/500 times) is <1.5 GU.

• Gravure/lithographic printing: Suitable for matte packaging paper, book covers, etc., with a 25% increase in scratch resistance;

• Screen printing: Printing of fine patterns such as electronic product housings and glassware to achieve high-precision matte effects;
