Xylo-oligosaccharides

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Xylo-oligosaccharides, is a functional polysaccharide formed by connecting 2-7 xylose molecules with β-1, 4 glucosidic bond The main components are Xylobiose, Xylotriose and xylotetraose. Compared with the Soybean oligosaccharides, Fructo-Oligosaccharide and Isomalto-oligosaccharide commonly used by people, it has unique advantages and can selectively promote the proliferation activity of intestinal bifidobacteria. Its function of bifidogenic factor is 10-20 times higher than that of other polysaccharides. It is recognized as a super prebiotics bifidogenic factor and a healthy food to balance the microecological environment in human intestinal tract.

PHYSICOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS 

1. Xylo-oligosaccharides with a purity of 50% has a sweetness of 30% of sucrose

2. XOS has the lowest viscosity compared with other oligosaccharides

3. Xylobiose has the lowest water activity among xylooligosaccharides, and its water activity is similar to that of glucose

4. Good acid thermal stability

5. Compared with sucrose, it has a weak coloration, but after baking, it has a strong aromatic taste

6. Low calorific value, the average calorific value of XOS is 3.4 Kcal/g

7. Good frost resistance, not easy to freeze when stored at - 10 ℃

Store in  dry and cool conditions, keep away from material with odor or of volatilization, protect from water and wet. Powder is within 24 months and syrup is within 6 months from manufacturing date.
