RO Antiscalant
2 year agoPhosphorus Silicon Crystals is an Agricultural Grade Phosphate and Tech Grade Phosphate which used to prevent scaling in RO water purification systems. Scaling occurs when minerals and other substances in water build up on the surface of the RO membrane, reducing its effectiveness and eventually causing it to fail.
Antiscalants work by inhibiting the formation of scale on the membrane surface. They do this by interfering with the chemical reactions that cause scale to form, and by dispersing any particles that do form so that they cannot stick to the membrane.
Antiscalants are typically added to the water before it enters the RO system, and are dosed based on the hardness and other characteristics of the feed water. They are an important part of maintaining the efficiency and longevity of RO systems, and can help to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
Some common types of RO antiscalants include:
1. Polyphosphates
2. Acrylic acid polymers
3. Phosphonates
4. Sulfonated polystyrene
5. Carboxylic acid polymers
6.Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate
It is important to choose the right antiscalant for your specific water purification needs, and to follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosing and maintenance.
